NEW DELHI: Sarfaraz Khan has silenced his critics in style — not with a bat in hand, but with a remarkable fitness transformation. The Indian batter, who has often found himself on the fringes of the national team setup despite strong domestic performances, has now shed a massive 17 kilograms.Although Sarfaraz made his much-awaited Test debut earlier this year against England in February, he hasn’t yet managed to secure a regular spot in the squad. Questions surrounding his fitness have long been part of the conversation, even as his domestic form remained solid.Now, the right-hander has responded in the best way possible — by getting fitter. Sharing a gym photo on social media, Sarfaraz revealed the extent of his transformation, writing that he has lost 17 kgs.Fans were quick to flood the comments with admiration, hailing the batter’s dedication and hard work. One particular reaction stood out — from former England star Kevin Pietersen, who not only praised Sarfaraz but also sent a strong message to Prithvi Shaw.“Outstanding effort, young man! Meanwhile, Shaw is set for a fresh start. Having moved on from Mumbai, Shaw will now represent Maharashtra in the upcoming domestic season.
