Another debutant, 21-year-old Lhuan-dré Pretorius, will bat at No. 5 despite having just seven first-class appearances to his name, while Wiaan Mulder gets a fresh opportunity at No. 3 after a gritty outing in the WTC Final. David Bedingham has been promoted to No. 4 and Kyle Verreynne returns as wicketkeeper at No. 7.
At the top of the order, Tony de Zorzi and Matthew Breetzke will open the innings, while the bowling attack will include Maharaj alongside three seamers – Corbin Bosch, Codi Yusuf and teenage pace prodigy Kwena Maphaka.
