Drivers on the M1 near Milton Keynes have been warned of delays on Friday after an overnight crash resulted in a large fuel spill.
One out of three lanes southbound is set to be closed throughout the day around junction 13, for the A421 towards Bedford.
National Highways said resurfacing works would be taking place overnight into Saturday.
“Long delays are expected”, the highways body added.
