Speaking to the media, Paranjape said, “He could have — he should have — played a little bit more. I thought maybe for a couple more years. Rohit Sharma was also struggling with a hamstring injury for the last four or five months. He didn’t get a lot of rest. I thought he could have played a little more because he was batting superbly.”While he is no longer part of the Test setup, he will certainly be rooting for the Indian team, who are trailing 2-1 heading into the 4th Test of the five-match series vs England.
