A woman has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after a body was found at a house.
Cleveland Police said offices were called to Cornfield Road in Thornaby, Stockton-on-Tees, at about 16:45 BST on Friday following the death of a woman, aged 53, at the property.
The force said a 25-year-old woman had been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and was currently in custody for questioning.
A scene is currently in place as part of the investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the police.
