Flights are on hold and the runway is closed at Birmingham Airport (BHX) after an “aircraft incident”.
The nature of the incident is not yet clear, but photos posted on X show a small white aircraft on the runway, with emergency vehicles around it.
A spokesperson said passengers already at the airport would be kept informed, while those due to travel later on Wednesday were advised to check the status of their flight before arriving
They added: “We will continue to issue updates when we can.”
