The revered Thruxton name returns to Triumph’s portfolio with the launch of the all-new Thruxton 400, a motorcycle that brings classic café racer styling to a new generation of riders. Making its global debut in India, this latest addition to Triumph’s Modern Classic range, combines heritage design with contemporary engineering and performance.

The Thruxton 400 draws (its) inspiration from the original Thruxton racers of the 1960s, yet this new iteration is purpose-built for modern-day streets. Its design captures the essence of a true café racer with low-slung clip-on handlebars, a sculpted fuel tank with knee recesses, bar-end mirrors, and a colour-coded rear seat cowl that completes its streamlined silhouette. From the front fairing to the slim, upswept tail section, the Thruxton 400 has the poised stance of a classic racer, with just the right touch of modernity.
At the heart of the machine is the proven TR-Series 398cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Tuned for more performance, it produces 42 PS, making it the most powerful in its segment. The refined top-end performance adds a more thrilling character to the ride, while still maintaining smooth and usable power delivery across the rev range.

The Thruxton 400 also gets its own dedicated chassis, distinct from the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X. It features a revised suspension setup aimed at delivering a sportier and more committed ride. With 43mm USD front forks and a twin shock setup at the rear, Triumph promises sharper handling and greater rider engagement, especially when tackling twisty roads or quick city runs.
