Drivers are facing long delays after a car collided with a roadworks lorry on the clockwise carriageway M25 near Heathrow.
The motorway has been closed while police carry out an investigation into the incident, which happened about 04:30 BST, and there are long delays.
National Highways said traffic is being diverted off the motorway at the junction 14 slip road.
There are no details on when the road is expected to reopen.
Surrey Police said it was called at 04:50 BST, but there were no injuries.
It has handed control of the crash scene to National Highways.
A spokesperson for South Coast Ambulance Service (Secamb) said they were called to reports of a crash between a car and lorry near M25 Junction 14 shortly after 04:45 BST on Wednesday.
They added London Ambulance Service and South Central Ambulance Service were also at the scene.
“A patient was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to St Mary’s Hospital in London for further medical treatment,” they said.
Heathrow Airport said the crash is not affecting operations, with traffic flowing and the airport operating as normal.
