Rescued foxes Wilkin and Willow released into wild in Grimsby

Two injured foxes have been released back into the wild after being treated by a wildlife charity.

Wilkin and Willow were found underweight and with wounds on their legs in Grimsby and taken in by Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue.

The male and female pair spent weeks recovering before they were returned to where they were found.

Aaron Goss from the charity said they had to be split up during their recovery as the centre only had space for one of the animals, but eventually they were released together.

“Initially they jump out away from each other and run off,” he said.

“Then very shortly they come running back together and it was a really nice feeling.”

Mr Goss said the charity is receiving regular updates on the foxes welfare from locals and said they were “looking in much better condition”.
