A man who racially abused an MP and threatened to kill the prime minister and blow up a police station has been jailed.
Lee White sent 109 menacing emails last year to Tooting Labour MP Rosena Allin-Khan which also contained threats to kill Sir Keir Starmer and cabinet ministers.
The 52-year-old, from Littleport in Cambridgeshire, told police he sent them after an aggravated burglary at a relative’s house “was covered up” and they got out of hand because he was “bored”.
He was jailed for 23 months at Cambridge Crown Court on Tuesday after pleading guilty to sending communication threatening death or serious harm, harassment without violence, and sending a letter conveying an offensive message.
White sent the messages between 29 August and 1 September 2024.
After being released on bail, he sent further messages in November to his probation officer threatening to kill everyone in the probation office with grenades and guns.
White also said he would make Parkside Police Station in Cambridge explode.
He was re-arrested on 28 November.
DC James Lewis, from Cambridgeshire Police, said: “Lee White’s menacing and threatening messages to the MP and his probation officer were deeply unpleasant and disgraceful.”
