The search continues for two men thought to have entered a river in Hull on Friday evening.
Humberside Police said they believed the pair entered the River Hull, off Charlotte Street, at about 20:30 GMT.
Minutes earlier, officers had attempted to stop a car for having a defective brake light. The car made off, before crashing into a wall. Two men then fled, said police.
On Saturday, a force spokesperson said officers were “extremely concerned” for the welfare of the men and urged anyone who may know of their whereabouts to contact police.
Charlotte Street is off George Street, close to North Bridge.
At 16:30 GMT on Sunday, police confirmed the search was continuing but would not release further details.
The search has involved HM Coastguard, firefighters, a police underwater search team and independent lifeboat charity Humber Rescue.
