Meet Jackie Freeman, the 61-year-old woman nicknamed “Jackie Grealish”.
Believed to be one of the oldest registered female footballers in England, the Redcar Town Ladies FC player’s “skill level and ability on the ball” have led to her being compared to Everton midfielder Jack Grealish.
She paused her passion for football for about 30 years after getting married and having children, until one day her family encouraged her to return to her love of the game.
The mum-of-three said: “I just absolutely love football. Until I can’t play anymore, that’s when I’ll stop.”
