BBCA group of neighbours has raised more than £20,000 for charity after attracting many visitors to their annual Christmas lights display.
Residents on Bromsberrow Way, Meir Park, Stoke-on-Trent, have been joining together for the past nine years to bring a festive display, which they said attracted “hundreds of people” from all over the region.
Martin Collett, one of those taking part, estimated this year he had “about 17,000 lights on the house”.
Money raised from the display goes to the Dougie Mac Hospice.

The lights are switched on from 16:30 GMT each day and stay on for four hours.
The street is lit up with a variety of decorations – from inflatable Santas, lights in trees and reindeers on roofs – with an array of different patterns, colours and objects.
Homeowner Bryan Huddleston said: “It’s taken me over 30 hours to put [the lights] up.
“There are 4,000 lights on the main Christmas tree and 3,000 on the other.”

Skirmante Baltuseviciute, who lives in Hanley and was visiting the area to look at the decorations, described the display as “stunning”.
“So much thought has been put into these decorations,” she said.
“The variety of everything is amazing. It is spectacular. It’s like a proper Christmas fantasy little city.”
