It received massive appreciation and love from the audience. However, netizens debated which actor would have been best suited for the role of the god. A post is going viral showing AI-generated pictures of the late Sushant Singh Rajput playing the role instead of Ranbir. The images received a total nod from the netizens as well.

It is set to feature Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman.The star cast also includes Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal, Vivek Oberoi, Lara Dutta, Kunal Kapoor, Arjun Govil, and more. The movie is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on Diwali this year. Part 2 of the movie will be in theaters on Diwali next year. Ramayana Part One is slated to release in theaters in October 2026, with the second part arriving in 2027.
