Police have confirmed that a body discovered in woodland on the outskirts of Coventry is missing Reanne Coulson.
The 34-year-old from the city had been missing for a month after she was last captured on CCTV as she left a food bank on 21 May at St Mary & Benedict Church on Raglan Street.
West Midlands Police found Ms Coulson’s body in Binley Woods on 27 June. The force said her family had been made aware of the formal identification and were being supported by specialist officers.
It added that Mohammed Durnion, 42, had appeared in court charged with her murder, as well as Adam Moore, 38, charged with assisting an offender. They have both been remanded in custody.
The force said it continued to carry out further enquiries to establish how Ms Coulson died.
Det Supt Jim Munro appealed for anyone with any information to contact the police.
Ms Coulson’s older brother Ashley previously thanked the public for their help to find Reanne and asked that the family be left alone to grieve.
Speaking at a press conference before her body was found, Kirsten, Ms Coulson’s sister, said she was “loved by many” and it was “out of the ordinary” for her to not return home.
“Reanne is not only my sister but my twin sister, a mother, a daughter and an aunt,” she added.
