David TaylorEmergency services have closed a number of roads in Nottingham city centre because of flooding caused by a water leak.
Nottinghamshire Police said Mansfield Road inbound, at the junction of Woodborough Road, was shut at about 06:30 BST on Monday and Shakespeare Street was also closed at the junction of North Church Street.
The roads are planned to be closed for some time, the force added.
Police said Severn Trent Water and council officials had been informed and buses were being diverted.

Videos shared on social media showed a large spout of water bursting out of the ground near the junction of Shakespeare Street and Mansfield Road before staff arrived and isolated the fault.
A Severn Trent spokesperson said: “We acted quickly to stop the burst and keep customers’ water supplies running as normal.
“Although the timeframe remains uncertain at this stage, our teams are working hard to carry out repairs and to replace the burst hydrant as quickly as possible.
“We understand the inconvenience this has caused and appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to get this resolved.”
