A 40-year-old man charged with murder of a Tottenham woman has been named.
Simon Levy is accused of killing Sheryl Wilkins and is also charged with two counts of rape, grievous bodily harm with intent and intentional strangulation in relation to a second victim.
Ms Wilkins, 39, was found unresponsive in High Road, Tottenham on the morning of 24 August and was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation began following an inconclusive a post-mortem examination and Mr Levy was arrested on 4 September and charged with murder on 7 September.
The second victim, a woman aged 35, cannot be named due to the nature of the offences and is currently receiving support from specialist officers.
Levy will appear at Highbury Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
