Murder arrest after woman found dead in Bromsgrove

A murder investigation is underway after a woman was found dead at a house.

Emergency services were called to a property on Apple Tree Close in Bromyard, Herefordshire, at about 06:00 BST and discovered the 61-year-old.

A 54-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody, the force said.

Det Insp Joanne Delahay of West Mercia Police said there would be an increased police presence in the area over the coming days, while inquiries are carried out.
