NOIDA: A 19-year-old man was arrested for kidnapping a class 12 student outside her school on Wednesday. The girl was later rescued. The incident occurred outside the school in Gijhaur village, Sector 53. The accused Monu Yadav is a former student of the school and was expelled due to poor attendance.On Wednesday, a school official informed Sector 24 police on the 112 emergency helpline that the accused forcibly took a student in his car. The incident was captured on CCTV cameras, and the footage later went viral on social media.In the 24-second video, Yadav was seen waiting outside the school gate for a five minutes next to a white Glanza car bearing a Uttar Pradesh licence plate. Two young girls in uniform were passing him by to enter the school when one of them stopped to speak to him. They appeared to be familiar with each other. Students kept on passing by when he took the girl by her arm and tried to make her sit inside the car. She appeared to resist, but he forced her on. Sector 24 police filed a case against Yadav under section 137(2) (kidnapping) of the BNS. Teams were formed to arrest the accused and the girl was found in one and half hours.Officials arrested the accused at Parthala Chowk. The car was also recovered.
