A man has been jailed after using wheelie bins to steal thousands of pounds worth of clothes and shoes.
Reece Wheat dressed as member of staff at the clothing store Footlocker, before breaking into the branch in Clumber Street, Nottingham.
The 28-year-old helped himself to clothing and trainers worth about £3,000, Nottinghamshire Police said.
With the help of two accomplices, Wheat wheeled the goods away in two bins during the early hours of 13 May.
He was arrested later that day after a Footlocker employee spotted him wearing distinctive Nike clothing that matched the stolen items.
CCTV footage revealed Wheat had also tried and failed to steal bikes outside Loxley House, in Station Street, on 25 May.
He was also identified as having stolen almost £30 worth of washing capsules from a Savers store, in Exchange Street, on 27 April.
Wheat, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary, two counts of theft and using threatening words with intent to cause fear of violence.
He was given a nine-month custodial sentence at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court.
