Earlier, images of Tendulkar attending matches at SW19 had already created a buzz online, with the 52-year-old in the Royal Box during an exciting day of tennis action. His presence at Wimbledon followed another special moment in London just a day prior. On Thursday, July 10, Tendulkar was honoured at Lord’s with a larger-than-life portrait unveiled at the MCC Museum. He also rang the iconic five-minute bell at the historic venue for the very first time, adding another chapter to his deep connection with the ‘Home of Cricket’.
