Alan Heardman/GeographA search is underway for a teenage boy reported missing in the water at Anderby Creek in Lincolnshire.
HM Coastguard said it was coordinating the search, which began at 14:00 BST, involving a helicopter, a plane and rescue teams from Mablethorpe, Skegness and Wrangle.
RNLI lifeboats from Mablethorpe and Skegness have also responded.
Lincolnshire Police said it was called at 14:29 and was currently in attendance at the beach.
The force said it was supporting the coastguard with the search and would provide updates when available.
Officers urged people in the area to allow the emergency services to carry out their work in the meantime.
