TRICHY: A 52-year-old stunt artist, S Mohanraj from Kanchipuram, died on Sunday after sustaining severe injuries while performing a stunt for the Tamil film Vettuvam in Nagapattinam district.The movie, produced by director Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Studios, was being shot in Vilunthamavadi village near Velankanni since July 10.During a stunt involving a car, Mohanraj reportedly slipped and fell, later experiencing chest pain.He was rushed to the Nagapattinam Government Medical College Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.Tamil actor Vishal, known for his role in Avan Ivan, extended his condolences to the family of the stuntman who lost his life during the shooting of Pa Ranjith’s film.The actor expressed grief over the loss of stunt artist Raju, calling him “brave” and offering heartfelt condolences to his family.He further wrote, “My deepest condolences and may his soul rest in peace. May God give more strength to his family for their grave loss. Not just this tweet, but will definitely be there for his family’s future, being from the same film industry and also for his contribution to so many films. From the bottom of my heart and as my duty I extend my support for them. God bless.”
