Byron is the CEO of Astronomer – a US based AI data company, while the latter is an HR head at the company. The two were captured cuddling and hugging each other by the concert’s kiss cam, prompting Coldplay’s Chris Martin to say “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy”. The duo’s video from the concert quickly went viral, sparking backlash and conversations about their inappropriate behavior. The incident, far from settling down any time soon, has prompted the Astronomer CEO to disable his LinkedIn account. While his wife Megan Kerrigan has dropped Byron surname from her social media profiles.

Amidst the Coldplay video scandal, an old LinkedIn post by Kristin Cabot has gone viral. Shared months ago announcing her new role at Astronomer, Cabot wrote in the post “I have been energized in my conversations with Andy Byron and the Astronomer leadership team about the opportunities that exist here…”. While the words sounded polished and professional then, but after the Coldplay kiss cam scandal, many people felt the wording was too ironic to overlook.
